A MICROENCAPSULATED | RUMEN PROTECTED | BYPASS NIACIN
Niacin or vitamin B3 is a water soluble essential nutrient for animals, normally produced in rumen by microflora. But during prefresh & early lactation period demand exceeds its production in rumen.
Feeding higher levels of niacin during the close-up dry period has stimulated dry matter intake and reduced levels of non esterified fatty acids.
Supplying unprotected Niacin meant for Poultry, in Ruminant feed is not a solution. As it will be degraded in rumen & inturn least or nil Bioavailability. Here again Biochem’s innovation launches a Microencapsulation technology, to protect Niacin from ruminal degradation & inturn highest biovailability to animal.
Features:
– With Optichol in feed Non-Esterified Fatty Acids (NEFA) can be metabolised by the liver to energy for use by the cow.
– Protected from rumen degradation and highly released at the intestinal level.
– Stimulates the ruminal fermentation and controls lipomobilisation at the start of lactation, with an optimal zootechnical performance as result.
Benefits:
– Increase milk production, milk protein ratio and milk fat ratio in dairy cows.
– Increase weight gain and feed efficiency in beef cattle.
– An optimal tool during or before metabolic problems ( e.g. ketosis) during the transitioning of the cow to peak milk production.
